Another excellent travel spot in Italy is Duomo. Duomo is a generic Italian term for a cathedral church. The Duomo of Pisa, started in 1063 with Buscheto, was finished in XIVth definitely century, had more one century in advance on the one of Florence.. Perhaps the best known Duomo is Milan Cathedral. The cathedral of Milano is often described as one of the greatest churches in the world. The ground plan is of a nave with 5 aisles, crossed by a transept and then followed by choir and apsis. The height of the nave is about 45 meters, the highest Gothic vaults of a complete church.
The roof is open to tourists (for a fee), which allows many a close-up view of some spectacular sculpture that would otherwise be unappreciated. The roof of the cathedral is renowned for the forest of openwork pinnacles and spires, sitting upon delicate flying buttresses.

Moscow Red Square
Trust me, you won't regret that. The Red Square is the vastest of the city (690x130 metres). It is related to many events of the history of the country. As major streets of Moscow radiate from here in all directions, being promoted to major highways outside the city, the Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow and of all Russia.
Each building in Red Square is a legend in its own right. One of these is Lenin's Mausoleum, where the embalmed body of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the founder of the Soviet Union, is displayed. Nearby is the elaborate brightly-domed Saint Basil's Cathedral and also the palaces and cathedrals of the Kremlin.
On the eastern side of the square is the GUM department store, and next to it the restored Kazan Cathedral. The northern side is occupied by the State Historical Museum.
The only sculptured monument on the square is a bronze statue of Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky, who helped to clear Moscow from the Polish invaders in 1612, during the Times of Trouble. Nearby is the so-called Lobnoye Mesto, a circular platform where public ceremonies used to take place. Both the Minin and Pozharskiy statue and the Lobnoye Mesto were moved to their current locations to facilitate the large military parades of the Soviet era. The square itself is around 330 meters.

Jimbaran Seafood
Jimbaran's other premier attraction is the local seafood market at the end of the beach. Walk along the beach to reach the market and the excellent local seafood restaurants that line the seafront. Popular with both locals and visitors, it can get very busy at mealtimes!
Moscow St. Basil
You won't pass this place without capture the beauty of St. Basil with your camera. The St. Basil's Cathedral, the bulbous domes, ribbed, cut with facets like pineapples, with varied colors, looks like a cave with upside down stalagtites. At the interior, a museum evokes the construction of the church and the historical events which are attached to it.

dubai burj pics
The first post focused on the building boom in Dubai. So, here is the second Tall Building post for the Burj Dubai, more in the manner to which you Tall Building readers have become accustomed.
I'll start with the obvious. A month ago, the developer, Emaar, announced that the Burj Dubai had hit 2,087 ft (636 meters), which shoots it farther up than KVLY-TV mast (a TV broadcast pole, literally, in North Dakota) and makes it the tallest man-made structure in the world. The funny thing is that this building keeps stretching upwards, and last month the developers announced that the final height of the completed building will only be unveiled when construction finishes in September, 2008. The original numbers indicated that, with the antenna, the height would reach 2,684 ft (818 meters). That's one Tall Building. That's two Empire State Buildings stacked on top of one another.
Holy. Moly.
This building already stands 160 stories tall. In it, you'll eventually find a whole lot of sass, including 4 luxurious pools, a cigar club, 15,000 square feet (1,400 square meters) dedicated to fitness, an observation platform on the 124th floor, restaurants, library, corporate suite offices, one of the first Armani Hotels (430,000 square feet/40,000 square meters) and some Armani Residences (144 luxury suites). Both Hotel and Residences will furnished with Armani Casa, Armani's own home furnishing line. Honestly, the details are still sparse. Give me a list of restaurants! Give me a size on that library! I'm sure we can expect a bucket more in September when the building's frame is done.
Oh, and at the tower's base, you'll find the largest mall in the world and 30,000 homes.
The building is being billed as "green," but they aren't releasing how they will incorporate renewable energy into the building. The only environmental consideration I see is that they will collect moisture from condensation (cool building, warm outside) to water the building's landscape plantings. This will amount to 15 million gallons of H2O annually. I mean.... that's interesting, but that's it? It's going to take a lot more to make this behemoth "green."
The Burj Dubai is being constructed in downtown Dubai, where the developer is pumping in $20 billion. (From your pocket, through Exxon, to Dubai.) The Burj Dubai, alone, is over $4 billion. It's going to be interesting to see what the final building will look like and what its guts will be.
Oh, this is what construction looks like now.
That building is huge. It's the ultimate Tall Building. Look for the third post on this ultimate tower when details are announced in September.
amazing Palm Island and several
The amazing Palm Island and several other ambitious projects are underlining Dubai’s growing status as a unique international and cosmopolitan city of leisure and business.
Over the past 15 years Dubai has become one of the fastest growing city in the whole world. It was in the mid 90s when Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum set out his vision to make Dubai one of the world’s biggest tourist atractions.
The beaches and blue waters of the Arabian Sea are among the most attractive features of Dubai; however they are also limited to just 70 kilometers of shoreline. It is through this, that the idea of Palm Island was inspired.
The palm tree, known also as the ‘bride of the orchard’, is one of Dubai’s most important symbols. With its spread-out branches, it also constitutes an ideal shape to maximize beachfront space.
Dubai Islands will be back soon with more interesting facts about amazing Dubai islands!

Simply name it the Dubai Islands have it!
Miami Skyscraper Would Dwarf Dubai's Burj Khalifa models
Developer Guillermo Socarras has been in talks with the Federal Aviation Administration to secure approval for the height of the tower in this superstructure proposed for Miami, called Miapolis :
"The 160 storey building would be more than 183 metres higher than the Burj Khalifa if built and would house an amusement park, observatory, restaurants, 1.96 million sq ft of shops, over 1000 apartments, 1 million sq ft office space and a 792 room hotel."
The project has been around for 10 years but the FAA movement is new, apparently.

UAE is a fairly safe Middle-East travel Pictures
Let’s shalala lala to United Arab Emirates (UAE), the home of the world’s craziest buildings and architecture that have travelers do nothing but gasp in awe. The “oh-wow” moments in Dubai any day could be as great as the sum of all the French kisses in France in one year, the total litres of beer being poured in Oktoberfest in Germany, and the gazillion of tomatoes flying overhead of the crazy crowd during La Tomatina festival in Spain.
This Middle-East country is a federation of 7 states (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah, Umm al-Quwain and Ras al-Khaimah) located in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula in Southwest Asia on the Persian Gulf. So what are you waiting for? Still lingering in the chocolate shops in Switzerland or Leaning Tower of Pisa is finally falling and pressing you against the earth in Italy? No? Oh! I got it! You might be lost your way in the labyrinth of white-washed houses and blue domes in Greece, or you are so unwilling to alight from the Elevador da Bica in Portugal because of the fabulous landscapes in Lisbon.
Whatever it is, let’s pack your stuff and head to UAE. If you are from Turkey, it’s 90% that you are feeling dizzy now after watching the popular Whirling Dervishes. Take a Panadol and go!
The Magic of United Arab Emirates (UAE)
The skyscrapers in UAE’s modern cities certainly outline how space age is going to look. Before the exploding oil industry, these seven sheikdoms were just sleepy backwater dependent on fishing and pearls. In recent years, Dubai has surged up behind the unparalleled investment in luxurious hotels and infrastructure. It is now developed as a tourism honey spot for short break and holiday destination with fabulous shopping and prosperous cultural life. Abu Dhabi, UAE’s capital situated on an island linked to the mainland by two bridges, has been growing fast too thanks to its new airline, Etihad, while other emirates are slowly becoming more competitive in their own ways. United Arab Emirates is no longer just a stage for Dubai to strut its ever-increasing wild things. This wonderful little federation, a lot of travelers would call it touristy “Disneyland”, has more to offer behind its modern, clean and dynamic façade.
This Islamic state is a contradictory yet harmonious tourist destination where traditional Bedouin lifestyle and customs morph into the very Western edition of unbridled consumerism, where DJ’s disc spinners stop turning before being cut short by the muezzins’ morning call to prayer. It remains an unfathomable question how those savvy sheikhs (Islamic leaders) manage to find the poise amid all the apparent contrasting forces. Just like Japan, the leaders manage to have their realms undergo an evolution to reach futurism while maintaining the deep-rooted customs. It’s advisable that you bring enough money there not only because it’s a high costing travel destination but in case your jaws are seriously dropped by the incredible hotels and real estate project, you could immediately ask for a surgeon to make them up.
The UAE is a fairly safe Middle-East travel spot in the perception of western tourists, offering cozy home feels with a touch of the exotic. Whether it is hitting the zenith of shopping experience at designer clothing shops with your credit cards, or simply lazing on a beautiful beach and sip a cocktail thinking of which connoisseur restaurant to head to with your darling, all the wild dreams you could have are promised to come true here. If hedonism is not your cup of tea, what about realizing the romance of riding a camel under starry sky in Abu Dhabi’s extensive desert sands, bargaining the price of souvenirs in the popular souqs (markets in any Arabized or Muslim city) in Sharjah, immersing yourself in the ambience of the heritage districts or the splendid mountain backdrops of Hatta, or diving the coral-filled waters of the Gulf especially the intact beaches near Ras Al-Khaimahare? Okay, I know most travelers are insatiable, just soak up the mélange of everything as that’s what makes this one-of-a-kind gem in the Middle East.
Travel To United Arab Emirates (UAE) - Top 7 Best Places
There are seven overwhelming cities in this touristy “Disneyland” that you should visit if you ever step into its UAE’s territory. It is basically an easy starting point for travels in the Middle East and hence if you don’t do it right here, you will certainly get lost in other Arabian countries.
- Dubai - Cruise across Dubai’s chaotic creek in an abra (water taxi) – no matter the time of day, it never looks the same.
- Abu Dhabi - Join the locals for an often steamy stroll along the city’s stunning Corniche.
- Sharjah - Admire the historic wind- tower architecture in the atmospheric heritage area.
- Al Ain - Lose yourself in the labyrinthine lanes of Al-Ain’s shady date-palm oases.
- Ajman - The smallest emirate, one of the budget destinations.
- Liwa - Wonder at the spectacle of the shifting sands that drift across the roads in the desert of Liwa.
- Dibba - Count the colored doors as you kick back in the low-key fishing town of Dibba.
3 Reasons Why I Love United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Oh my god, it’s not at all hard to state 3 reasons here as I’ve got more than 10 in my mind. But let’s just say the 3 best of the best reasons.
- If you have been walking the world with me in these days you should know I love Japan so much especially Tokyo due to the skyscrapers and bullet train that tell us what futurism means. This Islamic state does the same, presenting us so many “wow-wow” futuristic buildings that best described as “aliens in the desert”.
- Of course I’m not a multi-millionaire but I love fashion as you all know. Dubai is the centre of all the highest end haute couture as sheikhs have deep pockets and adore their wives. I would love to walk in the middle of luxury forgetting who I am, what I want, when and why and how I get here. Am I weird?
- Okay I should wake up now. I’m not used to too much luxury (just a little at times). So let’s do something romantic but that doesn’t need much money like riding a camel under star-filled sky in the widespread sand dune in Abu Dhabi’s desert.
