Glimpses of the Paris Fashion Week: Miu Miu
Miuccia Prada has closed Paris Fashion Week with a Fall 2009 show for Miu Miu telling about “playing with the bourgeoisie.”
The collection made our heart beating faster as it was a completely different collection, something that we had been looking for a long time - coats and dresses made from what could have been upholstery fabric.
It looks great and people fell in love with these pieces as soon as they saw them.
The entire collection was very interesting and unusual.
It included necklines plunged to reveal nude bras and shimmering décolleté area, fur sashes draped across the chest (looked very luxurious!) that might stand in for missing shirts, half-coats, often sleeveless, with undone buttons or cutout backs, flimsy silk blouses with long, narrow skirts (the most striking combination came in turquoise and ruby), long classic style dresses with tiger prints, and others.
Particular attention should be given to sequins and furs that were very widely used in the line.
They could be found not only on skirts, blouses and dresses, but on socks, shoes and bags as well! Looked really chic and sophisticated!
The range was created in plenty of colors including peach, raspberry, maroon, turquoise, black, nude, green and gold. Nice, not much bright or catchy but still very attractive!
The shoes were great whether these were classic pumps with fur trimming or ankle boots with separate straps for additional support!
And the bags were interesting and perfectly matched the attire the models were rocking down the catwalk.
Good job, Miuccia Prada! We are looking forward to seeing your next line!
